It’s a celebration of small-town charm, big fun, and community spirit! From the lively parade and downtown vendors to rodeo action, live music, and dancing, there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss a weekend full of tradition, excitement, and Texas hospitality!
Dove Festival Parade
Saturday, August 30, 2025
Parade will start at 10am.
Line up begins at 9am on the corner of E Gentry St and N Railroad St.
Registration will be located in the Schrank Pavilion, located at the corner of E Gentry and N Railroad.
UPDATES FOR 2025: All entries will be announced during the parade. Be sure to register by August 15, 2025 to guarantee your spot and announcement. (Any late registration may not be announced during the parade.)
THEME: Hamilton Through the Decades - Do you have a favorite time period or memory of your time in Hamilton County? Deck out your entry in your favorite Hamilton Era!
PRIZES will be awarded for Best in Theme and Crowd Favorite.

Get ready for a wild night of rodeo action at Dove Fest Pro Rodeo—where the adrenaline runs high and the crowd runs louder! Gates swing open at 6:00 PM, so come early and grab your seat for a night packed with thrills and tradition.

Dove Run 5 K
Saturday, August 30, 2025
Join us on opening weekend of Dove season for the annual Hamilton Dove Run 5K! Starting on Bell St. in downtown Hamilton. The Dove Run begins at 8:00 am. The Fun Run begins at 8:10 am.
5K Registrations
Entries in the 5K are $25. T-shirt deadline is August 16th. Cross Country runners are $10. Race day registration is on Bell St in front of El Jardin (200 North Bell Street) from 6:45-7:45 am. The 5K race begins at 8:00am.
