Ghosts, Goblins & Good Books! Halloween on the Square Is Here!

Costumes, candy, and a whole lot of hometown fun!

Calling all little ghosts, goblins, superheroes, princesses, dinosaurs, and everything in between!

It's time to dust off those costumes, grab your candy buckets, and head downtown because Halloween on the Square is back!

Cheerful jack-o'-lantern and friendly ghost holding hands and carrying trick-or-treat buckets, celebrating Hamilton Historic Main Street's Halloween on the Square in Hamilton, Texas.

Join us Friday, October 30, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, as historic downtown Hamilton fills with costumes, candy, laughter, and a little Halloween mischief!

There's More Than Candy in That Bucket!

Sure, we know the candy is a big deal. But we've got plenty more up our sleeves!

Our downtown businesses are getting into the Halloween spirit, welcoming trick-or-treaters and helping make Main Street the place to be.

Here's what's brewing around the Square:

  • Trick-or-Treating: Visit participating downtown businesses for Halloween goodies.

  • Trunk-or-Treat: Check out the decorated trunks and collect even more treats.

  • Costume Contests: Show us what you've got! From the cutest little pumpkin to the most creative costume, we can't wait to see everyone dressed up.

  • Games & Face Painting: Because a little extra Halloween fun never hurt anybody!

  • Hot Dogs & Ice Cream: Our friends at the Lions Club and Dairy Queen are helping make the afternoon even sweeter.

  • Photo Opportunities: Capture those costumes before the candy-fueled excitement takes over!

BOO for Books! Don't Miss the Library!

And here's a treat we absolutely love!

Our friends at the Hamilton Public Library are joining the Halloween fun with their very own BOO for Books!

Stop by the library during Halloween on the Square, where children in costume can pick up a FREE new book!

That's right—something fun to take home that lasts a little longer than the Halloween candy!

The library will also have a costume contest, photo booth, and more Halloween surprises.

We love seeing our community partners put their own special twist on a downtown celebration, and BOO for Books is a perfect example!

Main Street Magic Takes a Village

One of the best parts of Halloween on the Square isn't the candy (although we're certainly not complaining!).

It's watching our hometown come together.

Our downtown merchants stock up on treats, community groups dream up fun activities, volunteers roll up their sleeves, and families fill the sidewalks with excitement.

It's the kind of afternoon where you run into three people you know before you've made it half a block, and the kids are already asking to visit just one more trunk!

That's Main Street at its best.

And we couldn't do it without the businesses, organizations, and neighbors who jump in to make it happen.

See You on the Square, Hamilton!

Whether you're bringing a tiny trick-or-treater, showing off a family costume, or just coming downtown to enjoy the fun, we'd love to see you.

Bring the costumes, bring the kids, bring the grandparents, and don't forget those candy buckets!

A Little Spooky. A Whole Lot of Hometown!

Halloween on the Square — another reason Hamilton is “What a Hometown Should Be.”
